Fall DIY Home Decorating Projects<\/h3>\n

It\u2019s finally that time of year where we can jump in piles of leaves, light our pumpkin spice candles, snuggle up to watch scary movies, and decorate for fall! If you\u2019re looking for some money saving tips this fall, try out these DIY projects below.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Also, don\u2019t forget to get <\/span>preventative maintenance<\/span><\/a> performed on your heating system this fall to ensure it\u2019s ready for the cold! We care about the comfort of your whole home, and these fall DIY inspirations are in the category of making your home comfortable. Keep reading!<\/span><\/p>\n

1. Log Discs fall DIY<\/span><\/span><\/h3>\n

Natural wood slices or \u201clog discs\u201d can be used for a variety of fall DIY decorations.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Coasters<\/span><\/a>:\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

To make fall coasters out of log discs, simply add your own design. This can be leaves, pumpkins, a cute quote, or anything else that represents fall to you. To include your family in this fall DIY project, have everyone create their own fall design on each log disc.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Pumpkin Pile<\/span><\/a>:<\/span><\/p>\n

A cute 3-tiered pumpkin pile can be made from log discs as well, and will look great sitting beside your front door. Get three log discs, differentiating in size. Put the largest on top and smallest on bottom. Paint them orange to look like pumpkins and then glue them together, making sure they\u2019re sturdy. Now just add a stem on top and you\u2019ve got a cute pumpkin pile.<\/span><\/p>\n

Wreath<\/span><\/a>:<\/span><\/p>\n

If you\u2019re the type that loves cute wreaths, but not the type to make them, here\u2019s a super simple idea that could work perfectly for you! Get a log disc in the size you\u2019d like a wreath on your door to be, paint it like a pumpkin, and write welcome across the front. Nail in a string at the top to hang it on your door and you\u2019ve got a perfect, simple fall wreath.<\/span><\/p>\n

2. Toilet Paper <\/span>fall DIY<\/span><\/span><\/h3>\n

Believe it or not, toilet paper can be used for so many fall DIY projects around your home.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Pumpkins<\/span><\/a>:<\/span><\/p>\n

For toilet paper pumpkins, grab a toilet paper roll and unravel it about 7 times. Ravel it back up and your toilet paper will have a more round shape to it like a pumpkin. Set the toilet paper on a square of fabric, and wrap the fabric around the toilet paper, tucking it into the top. Use a stick from the yard as your stem, tie a piece of green ribbon around it for leaves, and you\u2019ve got a pumpkin!<\/span><\/p>\n

Spiders<\/span><\/a>:<\/span><\/p>\n

When you think of fall, if you immediately think of spooky season, this fall DIY decoration is for you. Grab a roll of toilet paper, and place it on a square of black fabric. Wrap the fabric around the toilet paper, tucking it into the top. Place 8 pipe cleaners in the top of the pumpkin and bend them out to look like spider legs. Lastly, add some googly-eyes, and you\u2019ve got a spooky spider.<\/span><\/p>\n

3. Pine Cones<\/span><\/h3>\n

Most people have pine cones in their yard, or at least knows someone who does. Grab some! We can make some great DIY fall decorations with them!<\/span><\/p>\n

Wreath<\/span><\/a>:<\/span><\/p>\n

You may not think a pine cone wreath is your style, but look at the one we\u2019ve linked here and you may change your mind. Grab a ton of pine cones for this one, as well as a wooden circle outline. Paint each pine cone with fall colors of your choosing by dipping them in a cup of paint, then let them dry. Next, glue them one by one onto your wreath outline. Eventually, you\u2019ll need to start gluing them on top of eachother, but do this until you\u2019ve reached your desired look and you\u2019ll have a beautiful fall wreath to hang on your door.<\/span><\/p>\n

Scented Pine Cones<\/span><\/a>: (check spelling)<\/span><\/p>\n

Nothing says fall quite like a bowl of pinecones that smell like cinnamon\u2026 right? Pine cones can be used for potpourri, and it\u2019s easy to make! First, you have to go pick some pine cones. Then place them on a baking sheet and bake them in the oven at 200 degrees for 30 minutes. Once they\u2019ve cooled completely, transfer them to a ziplock bag and sprinkle in 30 drops total of cinnamon essential oils. Let them soak up the oils for a week then pour them into a bowl and start smelling fall!<\/span><\/p>\n

4. Plastic pumpkins<\/span><\/h3>\n

Plastic pumpkins from the dollar store can actually be used for a lot of different, really cool fall DIY projects! And, they\u2019re cheap!<\/span><\/p>\n

Jack O\u2019Lantern Totem Pole<\/span><\/a>:<\/span><\/p>\n

Having a totem pole of jack o\u2019lanterns to greet your guests this fall, is an adorable idea. This one is simple. Just buy about 5 plastic pumpkin trick-or-treat buckets, get battery-powered tea lights to glow them up, place them on top of each other using weight inside or glue to hold them down. Then, just put a witch hat on top and wala! You\u2019ve got a greeter.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Pumpkin Planter<\/span><\/a>:<\/span><\/p>\n

For a decorative element that you can use year after year, try making concrete pumpkin planters. Pour concrete into the plastic pumpkin, it will take the shape of the pumpkin on the inside of the bucket. Leave in a plastic cup or bowl in the center of the pumpkin, where you\u2019ll want your flowers to be planted. Once it dries, cut the plastic pumpkin and the bowl or cup to remove it, and you\u2019ve got a great place to put some spooky flowers.<\/span><\/p>\n
